Original Story

On Sunday July 30th 2023 Paws N Play hosted a Pawfect Powder Palooza event in collaboration with Savannah Rae Photography.   Most dogs and owners accommodated the schedule change due to inclement weather and we thank you for your flexibility.

Paw N Play’s outdoor area was set up for the photo shoot with jumps, toys and a clean-up station (with blower and wash pools if needed) We were excited to host 10 dogs and their owners to participate in a fun filled day with colored powder. Everyone was given a takeaway grab bag of dog wash scrubber, tennis balls, and glow in the dark collars, just to name a few of the surprises!

Dogs and their owners were able to practice their poses and explore the setting with all its equipment and new smells to be sure they were ready for the big shoot.

The process was super easy and working with Savannah and her team many photos were taken to get the perfect shot needed to create the final keepsake image.

STEP 1:

Practice with your dog either jumping over a jump or throwing a ball or frisbee to make sure the dog was comfortable doing these activies with strangers and in the new environment with all of it’s smells and distractions!

Step 2:

Put the Powder on! Then get the dog to jump in an explosive way so that the powder sprays off or clouds around your dog.

Of course, not all were on the same page and there were minor

mishaps along the way.  Shake it Baby!

Let’s add some more powder again.

Step 4: WAIT!

The last step is done by Savannah the photographer. She will remove all of the people and tarps, jump poles and accentuates the powder cloud. This process takes approximately 4 weeks! We will share a couple of these final pictures with you when they are ready! Here is our amateur picture!

We hope all the participants We hope all the participants this year enjoyed their experience and Paws N Play Gift bags!   We had a great time with all of you and appreciate your attendance!

We are considering hosting another Pawfect Powder Palooza event next year if we have the interest.  Please reach out to Michelle …. If you are interested.

Thanks to all, including Savannah and team for making this a successful and memorable event!!
